Overwhelmed. Pressured. Anxious. Angry. Lost. Hurt. Panicked. Sad. Confused.

Every woman who has faced an unplanned pregnancy will tell you she rode a roller coaster of emotion. I know that I did. One moment she was absolutely panicked, and the next angry; from laughing with her friends, with no thought to her situation, to crying, unsure what to do next. I had a brief thought that my boyfriend would be excited about this pregnancy. Only he wasn’t excited at all. He wanted me to have an abortion. What in the world was I going to do? I felt so alone.

It is normal to feel all of this? Not comfortable, but normal. This happens many times and more often than I would like to see.

You may have a thousand scenarios playing in your mind right now, but it is important that you gather all of the information. I wish I knew about the Pregnancy Resource Center when I was pregnant and not sure where to turn. At the Pregnancy Resource Center, we tell our clients that we want them to respond to their situation rather than react. What is the difference? When we rush into a decision or look for an easy fix (and there is no easy fix), we tend to be in full reaction mode, and we do not make the best or healthiest decisions for ourselves. I am glad that I took the time to really think about my pregnancy. It is only when we slow down and gather information from reputable people and organizations that we can respond and make the best decision.

The point: You need all of the facts before you decide. I didn’t have all the facts years ago. I am thankful that I serve in a place that wants the best for you. What you don’t know can be devastating. There is power in information. An added benefit…that out-of-control feeling you are experiencing will go away as you take control of the situation and begin to research your options.

And you have three options. You can parent, you can place for adoption, or you can abort. The question is, where do you get the best, medically accurate and most truthful information?

We can provide information about the different abortion options, from RU, also known as the Abortion Pill, to surgical abortion.

At the Pregnancy Resource Center, we can help you navigate the decision-making process. We are not here to tell you what to do. We’re only here to provide truth wrapped in love and grace. There is no judgment—many of us have been in your shoes. We just want to help. I want to shout from the rooftops that a place like this exists. So no woman has to face this alone as I did.
